Karen Rishel joined SLTI in the summer of 2010 as a Test Developer.
She has a BA in Greek and Roman Studies and a MA in Applied Linguistics from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
Before coming to SLTI, Karen was a research associate at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.
She worked on several projects including the identification of motivational, cultural, and social factors that influence the academic acculturation of ESL students at Canadian universities; and the development of a study that investigated the use of diagnostic assessment in a university academic English support course.
